Specimen project for Penguin Random House’s brand and communications. Creating supportive graphics, and layouts for various outlets while adhering to PRH’s brand guidelines.
Wireframes
When I first started working on the project, I knew that the email newsletter had to be visually appealing and easy to read. To achieve this, I began by creating wireframe sketches that helped me map out the layout and structure. I took into account the differences between desktop and mobile experiences and adapted the designs accordingly. To ensure that the newsletter read well across devices, I chose the more “stacked” layout.
To make the newsletter more engaging, I broke down the text into easily digestible chunks with section titles and added vibrant imagery that helped to illustrate the content.
